Why is my budget larger than my gross bonus?
As mentioned above, your budget consists of the employer cost of your bonus. This is your gross bonus plus the single and double holiday pay on the bonus, as well as the applicable employer social security contributions (RSZ) on the gross amount and on the single holiday pay.
On top of your gross bonus, your employer also pays employer social security contributions (RSZ). This percentage varies by company and is typically between 25% and 28%. For example, if the RSZ percentage for your company is 28%, your budget is calculated using a factor of 1.28 but the exact percentage that applies to you may be lower. This total amount (gross bonus + employer contributions) is made available to you in the tool.
