These budgets reflect the employer cost of the underlying salary element. On top of the gross amount of, for example, a thirteenth month, your budget also includes the employerβs mandatory social security contributions (28%) that your employer is required to pay.

You can spend these budgets on a list of benefits that your employer has carefully put together for you (a so-called 'cafeteria plan'). This allows you to deviate from the traditional, heavily taxed cash payout of your salary package! π
