6. What are transactions in Payflip?

Updated over a month ago

A transaction shows a positive or negative movement within your budget in Payflip.

➕ Positive transactions

This means that an amount has been added to your budget.
Let’s flexibilise! 🎉

Example:
A budget top-up is applied at the start of the year or when you first join Payflip.

➖ Negative transactions

This means that an amount has been deducted from your budget.
There are a few possible reasons for this:

1. Your budget hasn’t been activated yet
For each month that your budget remains inactive, the corresponding portion of your year-end bonus will automatically be paid out in cash in December.
This amount will appear as a negative transaction.

Check this article to learn how to activate your budget.

2. Your cafeteria plan covers an incomplete calendar year
Your budget will be prorated according to the number of months remaining in the calendar year.
The months before your plan started will automatically be paid out in cash in December.
This amount will also appear as a negative transaction.

3. You’ve chosen benefits
The budget impact of the selected benefit will be deducted from your budget.
This amount will appear as a negative transaction.
